Royal Burgundy Bush Bean Seeds (Phaseolus vulgaris) – 50+ Non-GMO Heirloom Seeds, Deep Purple Snap Beans for Planting, Easy & Productive, by Isla’s Garden Seeds, Gift Idea
Phaseolus vulgaris "Royal Burgundy"
A bean like no other! This stringless bean is dark purple outside and green inside. When it is cooked, it turns entirely green. Adds an unexpected splash of color to salads. A bush bean with high-yields and cold-tolerance. Pods average 6” and are pencil-shaped. Royal Burgundy Bush Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are a striking heirloom variety known for their rich purple pods that stand out against lush green foliage. Compact and easy to grow, these bush beans reach about 18–24 inches tall and produce abundant 5–6 inch pods with tender, crisp texture and mild flavor. Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, they are perfect for garden beds, raised beds, or containers. The vibrant purple color turns green when cooked, making them both fun and versatile in the kitchen. A reliable producer with a unique appearance, Royal Burgundy adds beauty to the garden and delicious harvests to the table.
🌱 Planting Instructions
Approx seeds per order 50
Plant bean seeds after all danger of frost has passed, and soil temperature is 48F minimum. Plants need 6-8 hours sunlight per day. Sow seeds 1" deep, 4-6" apart, in rows that are 2-3' apart. Seeds may be started indoors.
Water deeply and regularly. Weed carefully as they have shallow roots.
Bush beans mature all at the same time and must be harvested at once. If allowed to sit longer than a day or two, the flavor suffers.
Plant a new crop every two weeks for a continuous harvest. Bush beans may be grown in containers.
